This pots is hand formed and then carved by hand, often using traditional tools and techniques, to create intricate and elaborate designs, patterns, or textures on the surface of the pot. This bonsai pot is a masterpiece in its own right, reflecting my craftsmanship and passion for bonsai pottery
The process of hand forming starts with on piece of clay. it is roughly formed into a bonsai pot, then it was hand carved which requires a high level of patience. Not many pots survive the process, however when it does, it is spectacular.
I have then used clay found on Manitoulin Island, which I processed into a slurry then used a combination of oxides to create colour.
